Rights Statements, the Public Domain Mark, and Blockchain: Extending the CC infrastructure

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

1. Rightsstatements.org: Developing a standard for GLAM institutions to communicate reuse rights
2. A proposal for updating the Public Domain Mark to allow use for works not in the worldwide public domain. This discussion will focus on the opportunity and challenges for enabling the marking of these hybrid works using CC's PDM, currently recommended for use with very old works, and look at some possibilities for enabling this functionality if pursued.
3. Blockchain and Creative Commons
