OER: Mainstreaming and the Moonshot

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

1. Education Moonshot: Shifting OER from +10% to 10x (30 min)
  • This session will vision and create recommendations for how the Open Educational Resources (OER) movement can move toward 10x vs. 10% solution. Our current plan looks a lot like "OER can be 10 percent better than the existing model". OER is capable of 10x improvements (or more) if we had the infrastructure, investment and policy to realize it. Join us to redesign the future of education!
  • Ryan Merkley, TJ Bliss, Esther Wojcicki, Cable Green

Break (10 min)

2. Moving OER into the Mainstream: Global Coordination
(50 min)
  • Join a global conversation about how to move Open Educational Resources (OER) into mainstream education. This hands-on workshop will analyze a draft OER strategy (http://oerstrategy.org) and discuss practical next steps for moving the strategy forward. Workshop participants will work together to vision and map 2016-2017 OER activities needed to actualize this strategy. Session outcomes will drive CC Education's work for 2016-2017.
